Benjamin Masila is a public health and M&E professional with over 8 years of experience spread in the areas of water sanitation and hygiene, community nutrition, pediatric HIV research, community mobilization and program monitoring and evaluation. He is the technical lead for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in the Afya Uzazi Program at FHI360. He is currently undertaking an MSc. Public Health and has a certificate in Business Analytics from Cornell University, M&E Certification from the Kenya Institute of Management and a BSc. Environmental Health (Moi University). He is registered with the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council of Kenya as a Public Health Officer. He is the Co-Chair of the EvalYouth Task Force 1 that seeks to entrench the participation and inclusion of young evaluators in the boards of VOPEs (Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation). At ESK, he leads the communication and coordination support component as the Secretary to the Board and is also the immediate former Assistant Secretary to the Board.
